Kent State Anti-War Protest May 4th 08 *4 People Arrested*
BackOn May 4th, 1970, the Ohio National Guard opened fire into crowds of students at Kent State University. Some were protesting the Vietnam War, while some were merely bystanders. Four students were killed and nine were injured. We remember the tragic loss of these students... and unite again against war and injustice in our world today. --- Unfortunately, I don't really have any footage from the march. The videos shown here are of the rally we held in downtown Kent. We probably started with 200-300 people protesting. We marched from campus to a bridge downtown. Another protest marched right through ours and congregated by the river. Our protest continued. The cops, in riot gear, showed up and asked us to clear the road. Four of us refused, and they were arrested. The cops were so rough with one of the women that the muscle in one of her arms snapped.
