I will respectfully dissagree and say that at the end of the 80s no one expected pop culture to recover from hair metal and crapy music and attitudes and then 91 hit and music and pop culture thrived....I cant speek for my generation but i will say that i hate the state of the world and plan to do the best i can with my music to advance culture beyond shity rappers (the hair metal of the 2000s) and bring respect back to music REAL music

the 2000s generation makes people like us feel like assholes because of how the rap culture is taking over MTV, but not just on media, but the whole world itself and everywhere you go, you have to hear fucking Lil Wayne and tolerate it unlike back then you hear REAL music, Polite people, Cool people, Less slackers and bullies.
