Yes-according to Sports Illustrated's 'vault archives' Kristie Phillies 'finished in a tie for 45th following a miserable compulsory performance in which she clobbered one of the uneven bars, stumbled on the balance beam and landed facedown on her vault.' Ouch.

I wish the Karolyis would have had her fix her split leaps since she was severely lacking 180 degrees in her splits that was needed.

I cannot believe how the news portayed her during the time that she began change. Al Toutwig, Frank Gifford, just the way they worded their commentary so negitive when she actually had achieved more than most gymnasts ever in their careers.

Could only have been from team optionals, as she did not qualify for the all-around or event finals.
