Oh, and I think 'New Ancient Strings' is his best. Bafoulabe is such a sustained beauty.

Saw Toumani & co in Dublin for 2nd time in October 2006. Fantastic music. That man can play! Extraordinary musician. And that guy on the right with the drum was superb - who is he? Go see these people play, real music played by masters.

Buy his albums Kaira (solo!) and Djelika (the best ngoni and balafon added!) They are the two I would take to a deserted island :-)
