I just watched the CSN&Y Deja Vu the Freedom of Speech tour 2006...and I gotta wonder who are the morons that paid $300 for a ticket to a CSN&Y concert and then complained about it being political...Duhhh! We may not be the stupidest country in the world ...but we're working hard at being Number 1....USA!

There is some intriguing information about CSNY in a story called Inside the LC: The Strange But Mostly True Story of Laurel Canyon and the Rise of the Hippie Generation.
Talk about shattering a few idols. Just google 'strange mostly true story Laurel Canyon'. These guys were role playing in a social engineering fraud of mammoth proportions.

I wonder if this song has ever been played at Kent State, live.

if we tried every presidential administration like we tried the people at nuremburg, we would have to execute them

A President can't do shit on domestic policy. That's congress. A president sets foreign policy. You don't have to agree, but that changes nothing.

There was a thorough, fair investigation after the shootings. The findings stripped the National Guard of their medals, but it also stripped the rioters of their halos. Of course, simple facts like that are buried under the layers of popular mythology that have grown up over the years.

Republicans were not to blame for this massacre. Gov. J. Rhodes did what any Governor would've done, Repub. or Demo., by deploying the Nat. Guard after violent protesters set ablaze an ROTC building and sabotaged firefighters' efforts to extinguish the conflagration. Nixon had no say in Rhodes' decision. I am a Democrat; you, however, are merely ignorant. The Guardsmen shouldn't've fired, but the students shouldn't've bombarded them with rocks. Don't associate the Nat. Guard with either party.

I'll stand up for U.S. Grant.
I suspect he was slandered by southern Democratic historians who objected to his attempts to bring equality and Civil Rights to African-Americans.
I say suspect because, while our local library has hundreds (thousands?) of books on the Civil War, it has NONE on Reconstruction or the Grant Administration.
