Thanks for posting that information. I was wondering who the interviewer/moderator was. This is a great program--I'm going to search for other material from Hank Wangford. Kathy in California

i love the duets. and the comment made by charlie about the brother duets not being together...look at Jim and Jesse. they were together professionally for over 50 years.

Great video. Love the Louvin Brothers. It seems a crime that we've got exactly one video on Youtube with archival footage of them performing in their heyday.

Charlie told Me several Ira stories I auditioned for him in 2005 in Manchester tn, I ended up going to his home He gave me several L bros CD;s. I would not take ANYTHING for them, I feel honored to have spent all day and most of an evening with a true Legend, some stories I would never tell anyone I feel they are sort of private, I'm now and ALWAYS been a HUGE fan of their regardless of how bad Iras temper is

ATTENTION THE FIRST COUPLE HERE IS NOT THE LOUVIN BROTHERS. IT IS THE EVERLY BROTHERS. They were probably most famous for Wake up Little Suzie. However the rest of it is SIMPLY FANTASTIC. THANK YOU.

In my country music research, I found out upon the great reception the Everly Brothers got at their 1st performance on the Opry, Ira who was backstage listening & watching, got so angered that he took his mandolin & threw it down the length of a hallway. I understand he found his music threatened. He was very traditional minded but volatile, quick tempered & opinionated & made some racial comments to Elvis's music when they toured together. Either way, RARE vid of them performing-THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

Search Youtube on the words "Everly Brothers Alma Cogan" and you'll see all four songs they sang on their set on that TV show in the UK in 1961. The other songs are lit in the back and you'll see the backup band The Crickets.
