i happen to like john mayer's voice, slice. there was a list on vh1 when i made that comment 3 months ago that had john mayer as the 8th worst singer of modern music. that was the source i was getting my comment from, and i was not personally bashing mayer's vocals at all.

i disagree, john mayer has an amazing voice> i don't think you should be bashing John Mayer on his vocals or anything.

thats ok.. john mayer isn't known to be the greatest with the vocals either even when he doesn't have a cough

Aye, I agree. The reason the vocals are bit lacking is that I've had a bit of a cough the past few days and it has effected my singing.
