I used to live over at Summit Towers at the time, and I wondered if we would have to be evacuated from the area. Quite a devestating fire. Thanks for the video, friend.

Nods. I saw that fire, I worked for a newspaper, and new the closest reporter lived in Campbell Co. I was the art director, so I went and took some video footage and some photographs for the paper and the video, I put on You Tube for everyone else to see a different views of it and such. It was sad to see.

nods I know, I live a few miles away. You could see it from alot of different places throughout the area. I could see it from the Whittle Springs and Washington Pike area. I was like OMG. That is a huge fire.

My sis works on Jackson Ave. I remember when this happend. She said stuff was falling all over her car blocks away. It was an awesome site and not in a good way either.

Sorry to hear you got injured in it. I hope you are ok now. Yes, I was there takin' photos for a newpaper and I grabbed my video recorder to shoot some video footage too. Thanks for the comment and I hope all is well for you.

I was badly injured in this fire. Very interesting to see footage like this so many months down the road.

i can imagine, it was horrible to watch and standing for the press conferance, it was like WOW!
